Propulsion Product Owner

The role at Allocortech focuses on productizing a propulsion stack that includes Taurus motor controllers, Clio power/comms hubs, and related battery/PDU systems used in eVTOL, hybrid cargo aircraft, and electric hydrofoils. You will shape the roadmap that OEMs will buy, turning technical specifications into market‑ready products.

What You Will Do

• Own the propulsion backlog, including Taurus variants, voltage/power SKUs, firmware feature flags, packaging, and accessories.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, FOC firmware teams, and customers to translate specifications such as “400 V, regen, eight‑week MOTS” into sequenced work.
• Write hardware and firmware requirements that are buildable, eliminating nice‑to‑haves that would compromise SWaP or schedule.
• Partner with sales on product positioning, spec sheets, and decisions about which custom requests become catalog items.
• Maintain realistic product timelines, keeping 18‑month versus 24‑month bets honest.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of ownership of a technical product in power electronics, motor drives, avionics, or vehicle propulsion.
• Strong EE/firmware literacy, able to discuss current loops, isolation, and CAN without relying on Jira.
• Comfort presenting to aerospace, defense, or advanced‑vehicle OEMs.
• Judgment on COTS vs. MOTS vs. custom solutions, with the discipline to say no when appropriate.
• Bonus experience in eVTL/UAS, hybrid‑electric, or maritime electric programs.

Compensation

Level and base salary are determined case‑by‑case, based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is one component of the total rewards package.
