Propulsion Design Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team in the design of Hall Effect Thruster components and systems including mechanical, thermal, and magnetic components.
• Perform magnetic simulations with FEMM or similar tools.
• Perform thermal simulations with Solidworks or Thermal Desktop.
• Perform CFD simulations with Autodesk CFD or similar tools.
• Develop CAD models of components in Solidworks or similar.
• Assist in the design of valves and plumbing.
• Perform flow analysis simulations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience with electric propulsion systems.
• Hands-on experience building and developing hardware prototypes.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
