Proposal Specialist/Marketing Content Writer- AECOM Tishman

About the role

A Proposal Specialist/Marketing Content Writer is needed to join AECOM Tishman's Marketing team. This role is responsible for writing and editing content for client proposals, creating outlines and content plans, leading RFP kickoff and follow-up meetings, facilitating structured reviews, managing proposal revisions, coordinating with adjacent departments, preparing client presentations, and supporting team during win/loss debriefs.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content for client proposals
• Create outlines and content plans for proposals
• Lead RFP kickoff and follow-up meetings with project teams
• Facilitate structured reviews of proposals by the project team
• Manage the implementation of proposal revisions based on review teams' directions
• Cook up and integrate required RFP content from adjacent departments
• Support client presentation preparation, including developing slide decks, prepping the team, and attending pitches as needed
• Perform a variety of copyediting and other writing-related tasks for marketing materials as needed
• Collaborate with other marketing department teammates to handle a dynamic workload
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple partners and stakeholders, including executives
• Complete internal debriefs for proposals, drawing on past pursuit debrief information
• Support team during win/loss debriefs and gather client feedback on proposals to ensure continuous improvement
• Take initiative to keep marketing collateral up to date as time allows
• Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or other Liberal Arts curriculum, or equivalent
• Strong writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Curious about the construction industry and how projects get built
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and stay organized under pressure
• Strong attention to detail, especially around formatting, consistency, and accuracy
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools (optional)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the AEC industry is preferred
• Experience in the successful creation of RFQ/RFP responses and supportive presentation materials is preferred
• Video editing capabilities are preferred
