Proposal Specialist III

About the Opportunity:The PROPOSAL SPECIALIST III plays a critical role in driving the success of business development efforts by managing and leading proposal processes. This position is responsible for coordinating responses to client solicitations, developing proposal content and strategy, and ensuring compliance and quality throughout the pursuit lifecycle. The role contributes directly to the organization’s ability to secure new work and build client relationships. Responsibilities:Lead medium to large proposal efforts and support all stages from capture to interview.Develop annotated outlines, content plans, and provide guidance to technical teams.Serve as lead writer and editor on key proposal sections as needed.Facilitate proposal reviews and manage revisions based on feedback.Participate in go/no-go and greenlight analyses to support pursuit decisions.Complete internal debriefs and contribute to win/loss analysis.Support marketing and pursuit strategy development when required.Coach entry level proposal team members.Perform self-review of work before submission. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in proposal support and leadership.Strong understanding of proposal strategy, compliance, writing, and production.Advanced skills in proposal writing, editing, and project management.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Acrobat), Microsoft Office, proposal management software, and data visualization tools.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ evaluation.Effective communication skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.
