Proposal & Marketing Writer
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of strategic sales communications.
- Take ownership of developing RFPs, sales resources, and other strategic communications from kickoff to final delivery.
- Cook up and deliver persuasive narratives, ensuring high-quality, timely submissions that help Capital win and retain business.
- Create content that connects, partnering with subject-matter experts to write targeted, compelling, and timely content for various channels.
- Research, write, and edit succinct, engaging content including newsletters, customer presentations, and internal training resources.
- Respond to RFIs, coordinating and creating thoughtful, thorough responses to requests for information (RFIs).
- Collaborate and contribute, partnering with subject-matter experts to strategize on effective ways to position Capital’s products and services with business decision-makers.
- Maintain RFP content library, owning and managing the RFP database to ensure content is accurate, current, and easily accessible.
- Train users on database updates and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) among executive management and colleagues to solve challenges, manage differences of opinion, and secure accurate information to respond to customer requests.
- Strong project management skills, able to develop, prioritize, execute, coordinate, manage, and guide implementation of major projects.
- Able to conduct, manage, and balance multiple projects and priorities on tight deadlines.
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks to assist Marketing colleagues.
- Strong PC skills, particularly in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in communications, content creation, or marketing. Proposal writing or sales support experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (degree in communications, journalism or English preferred, but not required).

Location
This position is classified hybrid, requiring onsite work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
