Job Responsibilities
- Oversight of proposal development to ensure strategic messages are included and win strategy is evident.
- Ensuring proper resources are available for timely and cost-effective proposal delivery.
- Organizing strategy meetings to establish win themes.
- Conducting formal management reviews and collecting/distributing comments.
- Aiding in competitive analysis and solution strategy development.
- Scheduling and conducting proposal kick-off meetings.
- Summarizing RFP requirements and ensuring all team members have up-to-date information.
- Establishing method for proposal team communication.
- Managing proposal efforts, including coordinating draft proposal deliverables, translating bid strategies into narrative, and overseeing milestones.
- Administering writing assignments, coordinating reviews, and managing proposal activities.
- Creating value propositions and writing/revising proposal content.
- Maintaining effective interactions with diverse teams and senior executives.
Skills
- Proven success in leading proposal teams in the Federal market.
- Experience managing pursuit deals from $10M to $50M.
- Strong knowledge of business practices and federal contract proposal efforts.
- Thorough understanding of the Government acquisition and source selection process.
- Familiarity with current Federal Acquisition Regulations and their subsidiaries.
- Experienced in creating proposal-related documents and presenting orally.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage large, diverse teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio.
- Knowledgeable in collaboration tools and web-based CRM systems.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work long hours as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Eight years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience as a Manager leading teams with at least one major ($>20M) successful opportunity (greater than $50M preferred).
