About the role
The Proposal Developer will develop winning proposals for home health care services in response to solicitations (RFPs, IFBs, RFQs, etc.) from various government agencies and other organizations. The role involves working autonomously through all stages of proposal development, quickly grasping complex business concepts, and effectively articulating service offerings to external audiences. The preferred candidate will be customer-focused, able to multitask, and manage the entire proposal development process under aggressive deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage the proposal development process from pre-RFP planning to final submission, including RFP analysis, scheduling and facilitating proposal kick-off and development calls, gathering questions for the client, liaising with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and final production.
- Ensure strict adherence to RFP requirements and deadlines.
- Drive the development of proposal win themes and value propositions.
- Provide overall quality assurance, including conforming to Maxim Healthcare branding guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects using effective project management tools such as proposal plans, schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices.
- Facilitate post-submission requirements such as Discussion Items and Clarifications.
- Assist in managing the grant writing process.
- Collaborate with local office operations, clinical teams, business development teams, and other corporate partners including finance, contracts, HR, and legal.
- Establish sustainable relationships with internal and external partners and clients.
- Update and maintain proposal tracking and information database(s).
- Participate in department meetings, initiatives, and projects.
- Develop and continuously improve proposal processes and proposal library content.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or three to five (3-5) years of equivalent related experience is required.
- At least three to five (3-5) years of proposal development experience, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to write technical or creative prose; writing sample(s) required.
- Proficiency creating formatted proposals in MS Word and using other tools to support content development, preferred.
- Practical use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and excel in a deadline-oriented environment, preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively elicit and provide information to appropriate individuals, preferred.
- Proficiency in the English language is required.
- CRM experience, preferred.
- Proposal technology experience, preferred.

Pay
$81,600 - $90,000 + Annual bonus potential of $6,500
