We’re looking for a proposal coordinator to support pursuit efforts as part of our Central Marketing Services Team in our Greenwood Village, CO, office. Central Marketing Services is a growing and transforming team that embraces out-of-the-box thinking to bring the latest in marketing, design, and proposal techniques to Merrick. Occasionally, work outside of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, is required due to proposal deadlines, but we provide flexibility to balance work and life.

About the Role

The proposal coordinator will work with BD leaders and capture managers to create winning proposal content and implement the win strategy while coordinating multiple projects. You’ll think critically about proposal documents and evaluate how effectively the win strategy is communicated. This role involves writing, editing, and proofreading; researching internal documents for proposals, project descriptions, and resumes; maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database; and using PC-based software, including advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word, as well as competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective and competitive proposal concepts, optimizing written and graphic content while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Write, edit, and proofread proposals, statements of qualifications, resumes, and project descriptions in compliance with requirements, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain CRM and uphold company branding standards.
  • Coordinate with graphic artists for proposal graphics.
  • Prepare for and participate in kickoff meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Coordinate with external teammates and lead proposal review meetings.
  • Research and maintain the marketing database.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, marketing, English, journalism, communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in the architecture/engineering industry (preferred).
  • Three (3) years of experience as a proposal coordinator (preferred).
  • Strong skills in writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign.
  • Proficiency with PC-based software, including advanced skills in Microsoft Word.
  • Competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with aec360 or CRM (a plus).
  • US Citizenship required for client projects.
  • Writing samples/portfolio may be required if selected for an interview.
