Excellence is part of our DNA, and we’re looking for a talented Proposal Coordinator to help bring projects and people to life through compelling proposals and marketing materials.

Responsibilities

• Promote MKTG 360° Services: Actively learn about Layton’s portfolio, services, and market needs through reading past proposals, training, discussions with peers and BD partners, etc. Provide marketing support to key initiatives by creating brochures, brown bag materials, and other collateral focused on technical capabilities and benefits. May coordinate development of non-proposal support materials such as brochures and presentations, ensuring consistency of message and adherence to established quality and brand standards.
• Capture Planning and Proposal Development: Support pursuit teams to advance positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with clients. Coordinate all aspects of pursuits: team coordination, messaging, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics and teaming partners, editing, quality reviews, compliance, brand adherence, and efficient and timely production. Contribute to content development for proposals and other collateral under supervision. Support action planning and progress tracking. Conduct research to identify best Layton qualifications and competitor information.
• Maintain and Leverage Marketing Information: Respond to requests for information and client research assistance. Create and maintain well-organized, accessible, up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits. Perform proposal “break down” and “unpacking,” including resume and project description updates to Cosential and sharing unique or new content via Adobe Creative Cloud or boilerplate library.
• Differentiators: Develop proficiency creating proposals and other sales and marketing deliverables with close supervision or clearly defined processes. Build a reputation for consistently high customer service. Review best practices and products, adopting ideas into BD support and proposal efforts. Seek input, identify development opportunities, and leverage resources. Understand and support compliance with Layton’s capture planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing.
• AEC industry experience a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on persuasive writing and presentation ability.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); proficiency in MS Office (notably PowerPoint).
