Responsibilities

  • Promote MKTG 360° Services:
    • Actively learn about Layton’s portfolio, services, and market needs through past proposals, training, discussions with peers, BD partners, etc.
    • Provide marketing support to key initiatives by creating brochures, brown bag materials, etc., focused on technical capabilities and benefits.
    • Coordinate development of non-proposal support materials such as brochures and presentations to ensure consistency of message and adherence to brand standards.
    • Apply knowledge of Layton’s/SBU’s overall service offerings, including strategic initiatives.
  • Capture Planning and Proposal Development:
    • Support pursuit teams to advance positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with clients.
    • Coordinate all aspects of pursuits: team coordination, messaging, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics and teaming partners, editing, quality reviews, compliance, brand adherence, and timely production.
    • Contribute to content development for proposals and other collateral under supervision.
    • Support action planning and progress tracking.
    • Conduct research to identify best Layton qualifications (experience matrix, project descriptions, resumes, etc.) and competitor information.
  • Maintain and Leverage Marketing Information:
    • Respond to requests for information and client research assistance.
    • Create and maintain well-organized, accessible, up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits.
    • Update resume and project descriptions in Cosential; share unique or new content broadly via Adobe Creative Cloud or boilerplate library.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing.
  • AEC industry experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on persuasive writing and presentation ability.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); proficiency in MS Office (notably PowerPoint).
