About the role
The Proposal Associate, Preconstruction-Estimation is responsible for assisting the Sales Team & Operations/Project Managers with the development of proposal packages for customer deliverables and assure all aspects of the final proposal deliverable is ready for distribution by the sales rep. Interacts & communicates with internal resources such as Estimation, Preconstruction, Engineering, OTS/Controls, CX and operations teams to produce the overall delivery proposals. Has professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists sales personnel by obtaining the necessary data to assure the Preconstruction and estimation departments have what they need to compile the deliverable.
- Counsels and communicates with internal resources to determine their needs.
- Prepares Proposals for the following hierarchy business lines:
- Data Center Implementation (DCI)
- Design Build Projects
- Other Construction (Turnkey Projects)
- White Space Fit Out (TFO)
- Service Operations (SO)
- Battery Install
- Battery Maintenance
- Electrical Maintenance / Testing
- Facility Operations
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Install
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Maintenance
- Maintenance / Testing
- Monitoring
- OTS/Controls
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) and Customer Experience (CX) Services
- Prepares proposals and participates in presentations, as necessary, in conjunction with the PreCon Managers/Estimators.
- Works with the marketing team to ensure we have the necessary components within our proposal package.
- Assists on startup package for project handoffs upon award for Sales Rep.
- Reviews awarded projects with Operations/Project Manager.
- Is responsible for assisting in special projects.
- Advocates and enforces proper safety measures in all company operations.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of general construction, mechanical, electrical, low volatage or trade school experience.
- Knowledge of Project Management/Bidding software Procore.
- Must have a stable work history.
- Field experience is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, engineering, or related degree.
- Experience in program/project management is a plus.
- Knowledge/Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, ability to communicate with Internal resources to determine their needs, ability to forecast requirements, resources and projected timelines required to complete the deliverable, basic accounting skills, ability to work closely with management, excellent verbal and written skills, good reasoning and logic skills, excellent time management skills, comfortable and persistent with follow up and accountability.

- Physical Demands: Occasional lifting and moving of objects 10 to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Occasionally required to sit and climb and balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Pay
$78,700 - $118,100 per year
