Property Tax Analyst

About the role

The Property Tax team supports NextEra Energy by managing one of the company’s significant recurring tax obligations. This includes working across various assets such as generation facilities, renewable projects, and transmission and distribution infrastructure, ensuring accurate valuations and strong tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Supports asset valuation analyses
• Prepares and reviews property tax filings
• Analyzes assessments and tax bills
• Builds financial models and supporting workpapers
• Partners with teams across Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Operations
• Contributes to project development, M&A due diligence, and property tax appeals

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Master's Degree (preferred)
