Property Manager (RAD)

About the role
Under the direction of the Asset Management Director, the Property Manager is responsible for working with a team—including the Operations Manager, Office Assistant, maintenance staff, central office staff, vendors, and others—to manage assigned RAD properties. Key focus areas include maximizing occupancy levels, collections, maintenance, resident relations, enforcing contracts/leases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of experience in residential property management, affordable housing programs, or a community/social service agency/program, including one (1) year of supervisory experience in a management or administrative capacity
- Active/valid New Mexico driver’s license
- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures and federal documents, including giving and receiving instructions in written and verbal forms
- Driving and reliable transportation are required
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, or social services
- Affordable housing certifications
- Low Income Housing Tax Credit and/or Project-Based Rental Assistance experience
- YARDI experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Substitution Options
- In lieu of five (5) years of experience: 30 hours of college-level coursework plus four (4) years of experience, or an Associate’s degree plus three (3) years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of experience, or a Master’s degree
- In lieu of supervisory experience: documented supervisory training program
- For internal candidates: completion of a supervisory training program within six (6) months
Pay
$51,596.82 – $63,457.28 annually ($24.81 – $30.51 per hour). FLSA status: Exempt.
