Property Manager, Multifamily (Multi-site)
About the role
Property Managers are responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service. They motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance and oversee all aspects of community operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of the community in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Complete lease and renewal paperwork to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
- Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high-performing team (leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel) to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.
- Drive revenues through competitive analysis and creative marketing programs.
- Lead by example, instilling and maintaining Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
- Manage residents' files in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
- Manage and maintain the overall community budget and finances.
- Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
- Determine leasing opportunities for staff and set performance improvement goals.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Real Estate License preferred.
- 3+ years of Property Management experience.
- 3+ years of Management experience.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
- General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills, with excellent oral and written communication.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel between properties and buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions is required.
Physical Demands
- Stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time.
- Regularly operate office machinery.
- Travel up to 15% of the time, with varying frequency and duration.
- Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Pay
$68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
