Overview
Yugo is a global leader in student housing dedicated to creating exceptional living experiences. As a Property Manager, you'll supervise and lead on-site staff, manage finances, coordinate leasing and marketing, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Regional Property Manager.
Supervision and Leadership
- Supervise and lead on-site staff
- Ensure operational goals and daily responsibilities are completed effectively and on time
Financial Management
- Oversee rent collections, delinquency management, and eviction processes
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes
- Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, occupancy trends, delinquency, and operating performance
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and improve overall asset performance
- Aid in preparing and managing annual operating and capital budgets
Property Operations
- Coordinate leasing, marketing, and resident retention initiatives
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and community positioning
- Conduct regular property inspections
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and all applicable laws
- Oversee property maintenance operations
- Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Coordinate property improvement projects, renovations, and turn activities
Team Development and Communication
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members
- Address performance management and employee development needs
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and operational updates
- Partner with Regional Managers and corporate teams
Additional Duties
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience, preferably in residential properties, rental operations, or related business operations
- Relevant experience running a property, especially in a student/university residential building
- Bachelor’s degree in business, a related field, or its equivalent, preferred
- In lieu of degree, equivalent experience in residential properties, rental operations, or related business operations is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationships
- Experience within a fast-paced, target-driven environment with strong focus on sales and marketing
- Proficient in working with technology and adaptable to online systems
- Proficient in property management software such as Entrata, Yardi, Real Page or similar systems
