Property Manager
Responsibilities
- Direct the daily operations of an assigned portfolio of commercial properties to ensure smooth performance and consistent service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders to support long-term success.
- Monitor accounts receivable, collect rent and other payments, and track operating costs with accuracy and timeliness.
- Coincordinate and supervise on-site personnel and third-party service providers to keep properties running efficiently.
- Review property results regularly, identify performance trends, and provide financial updates and recommendations to clients or leadership.
- Partner with accounting team members to develop budgets, manage financial plans, and support CAM reconciliation and invoice processing activities.
- Respond promptly to tenant questions, service concerns, and lease-related matters to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Maintain organized documentation for leases, income, expenses, maintenance activity, complaints, and other key property records.
- Conduct property visits as needed to inspect conditions, address operational issues, and ensure standards are being met.
- Support business development efforts by identifying prospective clients and helping expand management opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial property management or a closely related position.
- Strong understanding of property operations, budgeting, accounts receivable, rent collection, and overall financial performance.
- Working knowledge of regulations and compliance standards related to commercial property management.
- Experience using property management platforms and accounting tools, including QuickBooks.
- Ability to manage invoice processing, payment tracking, and CAM reconciliation with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to deliver responsive tenant service while maintaining a results-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) are preferred but not required.
