About the role
The ideal candidate will lead the complete lease-up of a 300+ unit affordable housing community from pre-leasing through stabilization. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact by overseeing every aspect of lease-up, operations, and resident experience from day one.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete lease-up of a 300+ unit affordable housing community from pre-leasing through stabilization.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives to maximize qualified applicant traffic and achieve occupancy goals.
- Manage all aspects of affordable housing compliance, including RAD, Project-Based Vouchers (PBV), and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs.
- Oversee applicant eligibility, certification, and leasing processes while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
- Partner with ownership, construction, and operational teams to ensure a seamless property opening.
- Utilize Yardi and Elise AI leasing technology to efficiently manage leasing activity and resident communications.
- Build and lead the onsite team, including future Assistant Property Manager and Maintenance staff.
- Ensure exceptional resident service while maintaining company performance standards and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Property Management experience managing affordable housing communities.
- REQUIRED: Hands-on experience with RAD, PBV, and LIHTC programs. RAD experience is non-negotiable.
- Proven success managing a 300+ unit lease-up from pre-leasing through stabilization.
- Experience with both affordable housing and market-rate communities is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success creating marketing strategies that drive occupancy and qualified applicants.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal affordable housing regulations and Fair Housing laws.
- Experience with Yardi; familiarity with Elise AI or other AI-powered leasing technology is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must currently live in the Miami market.
