The Property Manager ensures the financial and operational success of a community by providing the optimal balance of customer service and expense savings.
Responsibilities
The Property Manager must utilize current market knowledge and communicate to senior management the financial direction of the property. Additionally, the Property Manager should provide recommendations on how to continually improve the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Leasing and Marketing: Create and implement marketing plans, track traffic, adjust prices, and maintain competitor surveys
- Selling prospective residents on the features and benefits of the apartment home and community
- Resolving resident concerns and issues, and providing optimum customer service
- Assisting in resident retention and processing applications
- Operating and Financials: Creating annual operating budgets, explaining variances, and maintaining accurate record keeping
- Coordinating maintenance requests with the in-house maintenance team
Requirements
- At least 3 years of multi-family apartment property management in a leadership role
- Proven leadership in managing capital improvements, unit renovations, and staff development
- Experience managing a staff of at least 5
