Property Manager

About the role

VCM Property Manager position at VCDC is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a property, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the property's financial health.

Responsibilities

• Assure property is maintained at its highest quality and follow compliance regulations.
• Perform monthly inspections of exterior and interior common areas, prepare work orders, and maintain maintenance chargebacks.
• Follow vacant apartment turnover procedures, prepare written recommendations for repairs/replacements, and prepare inventory of building contents.
• Prepare and review market surveys, budget variance reports, vacancy reports, and financial packages.
• Manage resident evictions, process rent collections, and complete resident file updates.
• Provide direct assistance during after-hours emergencies and assist in developing and cultivating tenant relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred.
• Three to four years of experience in affordable housing management.
• Valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on developing and cultivating relationships with tenants.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a dedication to excellence and achieving goals.
• A flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Complete COS and TCAC training and provide certificates.
• A background clearance is required.
