What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Management of Capital projects up to C.£150K in value.
- Supporting the local teams in coordination, planning and delivery of day-to-day repairs & maintenance across the portfolio.
- Delivery of 5 Year PPM plans and budgets for homes and services to inform ground maintenance budgets.
- Assist in the coordination of Statutory Inspections and remedial works for all plant and equipment within the portfolio with the in-house team and outsourced contractors.
- Write detailed technical specifications, avoiding ambiguity and manage the design & tendering.
- Liaise with Local authorities, Consultants and Landlords to ensure they meet all planning, Building Control and all other legislative / Contractual requirements.
- Sourcing new contractors to carry out refurbishment works, building successful relationships and ensuring “best value for money” from all suppliers.
- Develop collaborative partnerships with the regional operation managers, service managers and deputy managers.
- Commit to the highest standards of design, quality and safety.
What We’re Looking For
- Membership or working towards Membership of one of the following professional institutions:
- - Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors;
- - Member of the Chartered Institute of Building;
- - Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers;
- - Member of the Institute of Workplace Facilities Management / BIFM.
- Experience in ownership and successful delivery of multiple small to medium scale capital project delivery.
- Experience of managing a geographical spread of sites.
- Experience of contractor management.
- A good understanding of UK Building regulations.
- Experienced in budget monitoring and the ability to deliver work within pre-set budgets.
- Self-management, with a strong commercial and operational focus.
- Resilient, self-motivated and have the ability to calmly respond to challenging situations.
- A full UK Driving license and ability to travel across the North West.
