Property Manager

About the role

This Property Manager position is based at Kingsley Apartments in Sterling Heights, MI. You will oversee leasing, marketing, bookkeeping, customer service, resident retention, administrative tasks, and maintenance staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement the budget to control the property’s financial performance.
• Handle record keeping and reporting responsibilities.
• Ensure timely rent collections, rent postings, bank deposits, and laundry revenue collections.
• Issue late notices and manage evictions for delinquent rents to maintain a minimum 95% collection rate.
• Monitor cost control procedures to ensure budget compliance.
• Oversee the maintenance department, customer service, and resident relations.
• Manage vendor and contractor relations.
• Hire, train, and oversee the entire staff.
• Oversee lease and lease renewal practices, including resident selection and approval.
• Lead marketing outreach, including engagement with neighborhood groups and community organizations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of property management experience, including financial and operational responsibility, sales, marketing, and staff supervision.
• Multi-family residential property management experience is required.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and staff.
