Responsibilities

  • Conduct proper management and accountability of property upon receipt, delivery, acceptance, and disposition.
  • Develop physical inventory plans to satisfy accountability and audit requirements as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.64 Accountability and Management Equipment and Other Accountable Property.
  • Oversee physical inventory schedules, ensure protocols are followed, and requirements are met to ensure 100 percent of accountable property is inventoried annually. Assist inventory teams with inventory procedures and assist with resolving issues.
  • Report status of inventories to NAVAIR Command Property Office team via SECNAV 5200-4 via Procurement Management and Reporting Tool (PMART).
  • Perform property tasking via many Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) System roles including Warehouse Supervision, Warehouse Operations, Inventory and Warehouse display, Project Manager, and Project Reporting.
  • Enter/update asset records in (Navy ERP), corrects inventory and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Respond to data calls from NAVAIR Command Property Office on behalf of PMA 208 Property Team.
  • Ensure changes to the property records for all transactions are generated (e.g., loan, loss, damage, disposal, inventory adjustments, item modification, transfer, sale) and retain appropriate key support documentation (KSD) (e.g., DD Form 250, DD Form 200, DD Form 1348-lA, DD Form 1149).
  • Identify property and uniquely mark property when received and/or issued, as appropriate.
  • Issue custody or similar documents for all property assigned to an individual or organization for use off base.
  • Collect and load receipts into an approved Accountable Property System of Record, e.g., the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning system (Navy ERP).
  • Respond to reporting requirements.
  • Supporting Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts, including quarterly Internal Control Testing (ICT).

Requirements

  • Must have Active DoD Clearance and relevant USN experience.
  • Education: BS or BA degree:
  • Working towards Professional Logistics Certification (CPL).
  • Allowable Substitutions: An additional two (2) years of experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
  • Experience: Of at least 10 years’ experience at least six (6) years of experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) or operational logistics.
