Property Management Lead
About the role
The Property Management Lead role supports a profitable business by ensuring that assets are well-maintained and functional, and services are completed on time while minimizing vendor cost. This role involves identifying and safely executing preventive and corrective maintenance on all building assets and equipment, working with vendors, and ensuring alignment with PM priorities and financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
- Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, drive results that deliver outcomes and elevate the guest experience.
- Utilize technology (e.g. Mobile Device, AI) to create, troubleshoot, prioritize, and safely complete work orders.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building assets and equipment, including Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety Power Systems and Electrical.
- Follow appropriate safety procedures and training, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment by identifying and correcting equipment safety hazards.
- Teach and train store team to follow safety procedures.
- Identify and perform corrective maintenance on building assets.
- Inform and engage the store leadership team (including new leaders) on property management workload priorities, and share impacts of store processes on asset care, maintenance and functionality.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined within team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
- Evaluate store brand and ensure assets and vendor performance meet maintenance and functionality standards.
- Assist in executing special projects, remodels and support PM assets and service strategies in partnership with store team.
- Ensure internal and external work orders are completed safely and efficiently; vendors are accountable to do the same for work orders assigned/routed to them.
- Assist in managing emergency situations as needed in partnership with store and field leaders.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of technical education preferred in some of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing and/or experience working in any of the following areas: basic door repair, HVAC filter changing, carpentry, power equipment/mechanical repair and basic equipment troubleshooting
- Basic technical skills and general experience working with property assets required
- Proficiency in operating power tools, HVAC, wet/dry vacuum and other powered equipment
- Strong skills in managing vendor relationships, ensuring accountability, and achieving quality service results
- Effective communication skills and the ability to use technology and multiple communication devices
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and provide support to store team
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Pay
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $24.00 - $26.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $24.00 - $40.80. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
Schedule
A flexible work schedule that aligns to all operating hours (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); regular and prompt attendance necessary.
