Property Management Director
About the role
As a CBRE Property Management Director, you will assist with oversight of the department responsible for identifying, presenting, and implementing strategic plans to achieve client goals. This role is part of the Property Management job function, focusing on operating buildings on behalf of a client or group.
Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines.
- Mentor and coach team members as needed.
- Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure business operations align with established procedures.
- Assist with the development of goals and initiatives to guide the department’s strategy.
- Evaluate processes and procedures to identify and solve issues, making recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure managers implement company initiatives and policies correctly and within compliance constraints.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of multiple disciplines, business operations, and key drivers impacting departmental and cross-functional performance.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE’s RISE values.
- Persuade managers and colleagues to take action aligned with the organization’s functional business plans.
- Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers to reach common goals.
- Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems using appropriate resources.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, appraisal, and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead sensitive, complex, and difficult conversations, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Pay
The minimum salary for the Property Management Director position is $188,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $260,000 annually. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
