About the role
We are a Queens-based property management company seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance across our residential property portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Manage compliance with Department of Buildings (DOB) Local Law 11 (façade safety inspections), Local Law 97 (energy efficiency & emissions), Boiler and elevator inspections, filings, and corrections
- Track and resolve violations with DOB, DOHMH, DSNY, HPD, and DEP
- Work with expeditors and architects to correct violations
- Maintain compliance calendars to ensure timely inspections, filings, and reporting
- Cookordinate with vendors and contractors to correct violations
- Provide compliance updates and reports to ownership and management
- Train property staff on compliance policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years compliance experience in NYC property management
- Strong knowledge of DOB codes, violations, and correction processes
- Familiar with DOHMH, DSNY, HPD, and DEP regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Prominent track record managing and resolving property compliance issues
