Property Maintenance Technician/Handyman

About the role

As a key team member supporting the work of field operations, you contribute to the day-to-day contract operations of Rainbow Restoration and T.L. Reese Properties. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, self-directed, and enthusiastic about projecting a professional company image through in-person and phone interactions while working cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicles with or without trailers
• Property maintenance
• Flooring installation (Vinyl, Vinyl Plank)
• Carpet & pad installation
• Wood framing
• Metal stud framing
• Drywall installation (finishing, texturing, tape, mud, finish and sand)
• Pre-hung door installation
• Vinyl window installation
• Cabinet installation
• Finish caulking (trim, tops, etc)
• Painting
• Suspended ceiling systems installation
• Door hardware installation (locksets, dead bolts, panic hardware)
• Rubber roofing installation and maintenance
• Plumbing fixture repair/replacement (toilet, tub, shower, faucet, drain, etc)
• Electrical fixture repair/replacement (light, fan, outlets, switch, etc)
• Construction projects
• Communicate with customers about scope of work and review necessary paperwork
• Meet deadlines
• Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are delivered in a timely manner
• Read and understand maps & directions
• Work with a team
• Residential/commercial vacant property clean outs
• Commercial grass cutting & snow removal
• Maintain company assets (equipment, vehicles, etc.) keeping them clean, properly maintained, and fully stocked
• Perform marketing tasks to sell additional services or develop additional business as required
• Perform other duties as required, including tasks outside the normal scope of job duties

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent communication skills (strong written and verbal)
• Professional appearance and personality
• Team player who can work independently
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Willing to train supporting team members (stewardship)
• Career-minded mentality planning for future positions/ownership
• Must be on-call and respond when needed (24-hour emergency service company)
