Property Maintenance

About the role

Mason Equity Group is a property management company specializing in residential, commercial, and retail property management solutions. We seek a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Property Maintenance worker to maintain the condition and appearance of our properties, perform unit flips, and complete maintenance work orders efficiently and with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations across residential and commercial properties
• Complete unit turnovers including painting, minor repairs, and fixture replacements
• Address and resolve maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Safely operate and maintain power tools and other equipment
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues
• Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas and storage spaces
• Communicate clearly with property management, tenants, and contractors regarding repairs and status updates
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance issues via the company-provided emergency phone on weekends

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
• Strong working knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Experience with power tools and basic hand tools (must operate them safely and efficiently)
• Trustworthy, dependable, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both residential and commercial property maintenance
• Basic certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing a plus
