About the role
COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Property Claims Consultant to join their field claims team. This role involves providing a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience for clients through investigations, evaluations, negotiations, and settlements of complex property claims. Key responsibilities include initiating contact with insureds and claimants, completing physical and virtual property inspections, evaluating damages, and preparing written estimates.
Responsibilities
- Determines applicable policy coverage and evaluates, negotiates, and settles assigned claims.
- Initiates contact with insureds, claimants, and relevant parties to gather information, obtain recorded statements, and explain the claims process.
- Completes physical and/or virtual inspections of damaged property, evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.
Requirements
- Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
- Maintains the appropriate adjuster's licensing as required by the states in which COUNTRY does business.
- For Property-Field representatives only, excluding representatives in the Large Property Loss Unit: A Part 107 drone license is required for roof inspections, and must be obtained within 5 months of start date and passed within 3 attempts.
Qualifications
- May be required to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
- May be called upon for catastrophic duty.
Skills
- Knowledge of property insurance policies and procedures.
- Ability to use innovative technologies, including drones for property inspections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual claim handling software.
Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $93,200 - $128,150
- Incentive Pay: Eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.

Schedule
This position allows full-time field work within the territory for this position which includes McHenry and Lake Counties (NOT Cook County) and Chicagoland area. Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate. May be called upon for catastrophic duty.
