Duties

  • Manage the new business and renewal process, review risk management surveys.
  • Identify exposure to loss and advise client on appropriate coverages.
  • Understand complex coverages and class code assignments; proactive analysis of underwriting data, including Loss Ratios, Experience Modification Ratings and Audit Dispute Resolution.
  • Develop marketing plan with Risk Advisor, Executive Client Manager, and/or insured.
  • Complete submissions to market new and renewal accounts to insurance carriers.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate coverage terms, pricing and commissions.
  • Work with underwriters to obtain additional information from clients.
  • Create & manage client and insurance company facing documents, including Statement of Values, Schedules, etc.
  • Work with Risk Control Department to monitor complex or significant risk control and claims issues.
  • Conduct contract and lease reviews to advise client on risk and compliance issues.
  • Review Certificates of Insurance for compliance with Contracts, Leases, etc. including the ability to provide guidance/training to clients on these tasks.
  • Maintain positive client and insurance company relationships.
  • Explain payment requirements to new and existing clients.
  • Maintain positive relationships with appropriate personnel at client firms to assure retention of accounts.
  • Oversee, direct, plan, schedule, and mentor the work of your HPT.
  • Train and give technical supervision to the HPT members.
  • Demonstrate exceptional negotiating, decision-making, advanced knowledge of coverages, and sales skills.
  • Maintain high level relationship with underwriters.
  • Support and communicate with the Risk Advisor to develop and retain accounts.
  • Have the ability to independently conduct client meetings, trainings, and deliver proposals to the clients.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and the technical insurance knowledge necessary to identify discrepancies, coverage issues, and documentation errors.

Qualifications

  • Current California Insurance License
  • 5+ Years Client Management Experience
  • Industry Designations
  • Proficiency of PC Applications
