We are looking for a Property Assistant to support day-to-day property operations in South Bay, Florida. This is a long-term contract position expected to run for approximately 3½ months.
About the role
This opportunity allows you to contribute across resident services, leasing activity, rent administration, and property upkeep. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced property management setting, using Yardi to help keep records organized and operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily property operations by responding to resident and tenant inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
- Coordinate leasing support activities, including scheduling appointments, preparing documentation, and helping maintain occupancy goals.
- Monitor maintenance requests, communicate with vendors or service teams, and follow up to help ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Support rent collection efforts by tracking payments, documenting account activity, and addressing routine billing questions.
- Maintain accurate property records in Yardi and help keep files, reports, and operational data up to date.
- Provide administrative support for residential or commercial property management tasks as assigned across one or more community locations.
- Help ensure property standards are upheld by observing site conditions and escalating issues that may affect resident satisfaction or building operations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in property management, property administration, or a related real estate support role.
- Working knowledge of Yardi or similar property management software.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Experience supporting leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, or affordable housing environments, including HUD-related exposure, is preferred.
- Reliable organizational skills and attention to detail in handling records, correspondence, and daily operational tasks.
