About Our Client: The organization operates within the insurance industry, providing property and material damage claim services. It addresses the challenge of efficiently managing property damage claims across multiple states, offering support to a large network of employees and independent agencies. The company maintains a presence through home offices and field offices covering 12 states and the District of Columbia, demonstrating significant scale and reach. About the Opportunity: The Property Adjuster I role involves independently managing property claims within established authority limits. This position contributes by ensuring accurate claim assessments, timely resolution of claims, and effective service within a designated territory. It plays a critical part in maintaining claim quality and customer satisfaction through thorough investigations and decision-making. Responsibilities: • Contact policyholders regarding property claims within authority limits.• Conduct investigations, interviews, inspections, and prepare estimates.• Evaluate and recommend claim coverage.• Set and maintain claim reserves.• Obtain and review necessary reports and materials.• Determine payment amounts and issue or decline payments.• Document claim files and close claims.• Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate actions.• Service assigned territory and conclude claims.• Interact with agents and sales managers.• Handle litigated claims or coordinate with defense counsel.• Develop expertise in estimating practices.• Attend training to stay current on policies and legislation.• Complete Technical Learning Center Training within one year.• Participate in Catastrophe Team as needed. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED with two years claims handling experience, or successful completion of formal company-sponsored education; or Bachelor's Degree.• Residence within assigned territory unless approved otherwise.• Ability to serve on catastrophe duty, including potential travel.• Strong time management and organizational skills preferred.• Ability to drive and travel regularly within the assigned territory. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Salary range: $59,186.00 to $94,543.00, varying based on role level, experience, skills, education, training, credentials, and location.• Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.
