About the role
As a Field Property Adjuster, you will provide exceptional service to our policyholders by traveling to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. You will also handle virtual claims nationwide using platforms like Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration, with a focus on water losses to ensure customers receive the highest level of support and resolution.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections at customers' homes to assess damage and determine coverage.
- Investigate property claims by reviewing damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
- Prepare and settle claims efficiently using tools like Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
- Handle virtual claims nationwide, with a focus on water losses.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or video chat to guide them through the claims process, offering their preferred method of communication.
- Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standards.
- Utilize multiple tools, including estimate software, job aids, and settlement platforms, to resolve claims in a fast-paced environment.
- Document claims accurately and timely in the claims system to ensure compliance with policy agreements and protect the company financially.
Requirements
- 2 years of previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired.
- Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software.
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims nationwide.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Residency within the posted location is mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch on one to two-story buildings.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
- This position is not available for residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
Training
- Comprehensive training program designed to build a claims foundation and familiarize you with day-to-day systems and processes.
- Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement provided regularly on the job.
- Required attendance at approximately 2 weeks of in-person training in Dallas, TX.
- As a condition of employment, you may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, including passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, licensing must be secured within 60 days of hire, with support from the Hiring Manager and Centralized Licensing team.

Pay
Compensation for this role is $68,000 - $105,000, based on experience and qualifications.

- Eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus if you hold an active Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License. Current or former Allstate employees (including family of companies) are not eligible.
