Propane Delivery Driver

Family owned for over 60 years, Lakes Gas is among the largest propane providers in the Midwest. At each of our 60+ locations, we operate with a small-town, local feel, with employees who live in the communities they serve.

About the role

This is a local route, home-every-night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-in-class customer service.

Additional duties include maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
• Provide first-in-class customer service
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment
• Perform plant maintenance activities
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets
• Complete DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements
• Filling, loading, securing, and delivering propane cylinders or bulk

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English Language
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Safety-conscious and customer-service oriented

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pull delivery hose
• Ability to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed

$25.00/hr to $27.00/hr
