Propane Delivery Driver

About the role

Family owned for over 65 years; Lakes Gas is among the largest propane providers in the Midwest. At each of our 60+ locations we operate with a small‑town, local feel, with employees who live in the communities they serve. This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position as a Delivery Driver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first‑in‑class customer service.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment, and perform plant maintenance activities.
• Operate handheld tablets for delivery documentation.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.

Requirements

• Valid Class “A” or “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain) without air‑brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety‑conscious and customer‑service oriented.
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• DOT Hazmat training and maintenance every three years; maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.

Physical Demands

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and pull delivery hose.
• Bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed.
• Fill, load, secure and deliver propane cylinders or bulk.

Pay

$25.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour.
