SCOPE
Significant Activities & Deliverables
- Adhere to delivery schedules set forth by dispatch
- Perform daily Pre-and Post-Trip of the truck and report mechanical issues to Operations
- Complete readings of tanks at the beginning and end of each delivery to verify accurate inventory and safety levels
- Maintain accurate delivery and purchase detail and record on daily log sheet from stop to stop
- Communicate with management and dispatch on client issues or safety concerns
- Maintain relationship with office personnel and respond to questions in a timely manner
- Return daily log Sheet and delivery receipts upon the completion of each shift
- Report all incidents to operations Manager and Operations supervisor
- Other duties to be assigned as needed

Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Class A driver’s license with tanker, combination, and hazmat endorsements
- Previous 2 years commercial driving experience
- Able to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts; read maps, road signs, maintain record of duty status, etc.
- Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
- Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance
- Available for around the clock trips to accommodate freight movements and must be available for irregular shifts
- Meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Dept. of Transportation
- Satisfactorily pass a drug test
- Satisfactorily pass an alcohol test (if applicable)
Physical & Mental Demands
- Outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing
- Lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
- Vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
