PROPANE AND FUEL DELIVERY DRIVER

About the role

Safely transport propane and petroleum gas products to customer locations while providing superior customer service. Assist walk-in customers and help in the warehouse as needed. Complete all duties in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and fuel products to customers.
• Develop and grow business with new and existing customers.
• Prepare delivery tickets and complete paperwork for processing.
• Perform gas tests/checks and some service work.
• Follow safety standards and operate equipment as recommended.
• Observe and adhere to safety and security procedures.
• Assist walk-in customers, answer phones, and load/unload customer orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement and a good driving record.
• General math skills: addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using computers, including email, electronic log books, and other applications (helpful).
• Regular and consistent attendance is essential.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Routinely stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift, move, and exert in excess of 100 lbs. occasionally, in excess of 50 lbs. frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs. constantly.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
