About the role
Uppsala is growing rapidly, and we are looking for an experienced project manager to help shape the future of the city. You will lead major urban development projects such as Rosendal, Ulleråker, and the southeastern districts, while also developing tramlines, new train stations, and sustainable environments for housing, business, and community services. At the City Planning Administration's Land and Exploitation Department, you will join a great team of colleagues working as project managers, with strategic land acquisitions, land management, and site development. We work digitally and activity-based from the municipality's new city hall, in a prime commuting location right next to Uppsala Central Station. You will also have good opportunities to work part of your working hours remotely.
Responsibilities
As a project manager, you are responsible for leading urban development projects from early stages to implementation. You drive projects forward in close collaboration with both internal and external actors. In the role, you will:
- Lead complex community development projects with multiple stakeholders
- Be responsible for the projects' finances, timeline, implementation, and quality
- Represent the municipality in negotiations with developers and other external parties
- Develop strategies, decision documents, and agreements at an overarching and strategic level
- Ensure progress and anchoring within the organization and in political committees and boards

Qualifications
- Experience leading projects in urban development and land exploitation, or alternatively, specialist expertise in the land and exploitation field
- An academic education in urban development, real estate surveying, or other education deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience with financial management and follow-up of projects in the community development sector
- Experience from working in the public sector is meritorious

Pay
Monthly salary. Uppsala applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to current collective agreements.
Schedule
Permanent employment, full-time. Start date according to agreement.
