Project Superintendent
About the role
The Christman Company is seeking Project Superintendents in the greater Dallas area. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring project schedules, quality control, and enforcing safety rules.
Responsibilities
- Ensures Christman representation at the site daily.
- Reviews and recommends construction options based on project documents.
- Establishes and communicates safety expectations.
- Plans and coordinates site logistics.
- Develops and communicates a safety program.
- Addresses safety concerns and investigates incidents.
- Coordinates project team preparations and work plans.
- Manages technical interpretations and ensures compliance with specifications.
- Authorizes purchase requisitions and verifies trade contractor timesheets.
- Completes daily reports and evaluates trade contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
- Successful completion of Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication classes.
Qualifications
- Able to manage and plan work activities.
- Recognize and address safety concerns.
- Familiarity with site requirements, tools, methods, and materials.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Understanding of job cost accounting and construction scheduling.
- Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The position involves working primarily outside at construction sites and in an office trailer. It requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, using a telephone, operating a keyboard, lifting up to 50 pounds, and completing tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
