Project Superintendent

About the role

The Christman Company is seeking Project Superintendents in the greater Oklahoma City area. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring project schedules, quality control, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Christman representation at the site daily.
• Reviews and evaluates construction documents for constructability and safety.
• Establishes project site expectations for safety, quality, and conduct.
• Develops and communicates a safety program and orientation.
• Plans and coordinates site logistics and project team preparation.
• Partners with Project Manager, client, and trade contractors to develop a work plan.
• Coordinates trade contract work according to the project schedule.
• Maintains rolling punch list and authorizes trade contractor timesheets.
• Authorizes purchase requisitions and completes daily reports.
• Compiles trade contractor evaluations and analyzes reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
• Successful completion of Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication classes.

Qualifications

• Able to manage and plan work activities.
• Able to recognize and address safety concerns.
• Familiarity with site requirements, tools, methods, and materials.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and supervision.
• Ability to lead and build strong relationships.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office and Procore.
