Project Specialist
Responsibilities
- Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their challenging and rapidly shifting competitive environments
- Support the Account Leader in building strategic public relations programs
- Lead day-to-day execution of the public relations program. Develop and manage timelines, and weekly action plans, and supporting team members to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met
- Maintain regular contact with clients and media; proactively offer and implement new ways to meet client needs
- Cook up media relations campaigns, identifying story angles, overseeing list and pitch development, and working directly with media day to day
- Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including beautifully designed presentations, compelling press releases, concise fact sheets, key messages, social media content and actionable pitch letters
- Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
Requirements
- Experience building and enhancing relationships with clients from day-to-day to most senior levels within the organization
- Strong PR skills including earned media strategy development, story ideation and pitching, as well as experience in or familiarity with strategic communications disciplines including thought leadership, crisis communications and internal communications
- Existing media relationships with a diverse set of media contacts in sports, business or lifestyle
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation-development skills; project management skills; and consultative skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative attitude
- Accountability and a drive to achieve results
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment

Qualifications

Experience with media monitoring and project management software a plus, not required
