Project Specialist

About the role

The Project Specialist plays an important role in supporting our project teams and ensuring work moves smoothly from start to finish. This is an entry-level professional position designed for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in project management within the construction/telecom industry. This position is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities

• Aid in setting up new projects and maintaining organized project files.
• Support project documentation, including handling permits, scheduling updates, and progress tracking.
• Assist in reviewing and preparing project paperwork for final closeouts.
• Learn to track project activity and contribute to accurate reporting and billing.
• Offer assistance to other project team members as needed.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
• Support company policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasionally travel may be required.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• The ability to read and understand project instructions, work orders, and reports.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, word processing, PDFs). Google Workspace experience is a plus.
• Ability to stay organized, manage tasks, and work independently with minimal guidance.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Experience with project management software is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction/telecom industry practices is beneficial.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.

Pay

The wage range for Project Specialist is $21.00 - $24.00.
