Location: 100% onsite at Trivium Cable Plant, Newton, NC, 28658
Department: Project Management / Operations
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm
Role Impact & Expectations
The Project Specialist III is integral to supporting project success by providing comprehensive administrative, coordination, and procurement assistance throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures projects remain on schedule, within scope, and budget by supporting documentation, resource onboarding, communication, and inventory management. The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who excels at multitasking, collaboration, and project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level administrative support to Project Managers and project teams
- Coordinate project scheduling, meetings, interviews, and task tracking
- Support interview arrangements and communications with recruiting agents
- Manage procurement processes: order entry, tracking, vendor coordination, invoice resolution
- Track project budgets, expenses, and provide regular updates
- Maintain project records, documentation, presentations, and contracts
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items
- Monitor project timelines, identify risks or delays, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with company policies and project standards
- Manage filing systems and ensure version control on documentation
- Handle confidential information with strict professionalism
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (required)
- Minimum 3 years experience supporting Project Managers and procurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Jira, etc.)
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, PMC)
- ERP experience (SAP or similar)
- Knowledge of basic budgeting and financial tracking
- Experience in engineering or corporate project environments
- Customer service and basic HR support experience
