About the role

The National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (ICAR NBPGR) seeks a highly qualified individual to join our team. The position is based in Delhi.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on plant genetic resources
• Develop strategies for conservation and utilization of genetic materials
• Collaborate with international partners on genetic resource projects
• Document findings and disseminate research outcomes

Requirements

• M.Phil or Ph.D in Plant Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related field
• Experience in plant breeding and genetics
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Ph.D preferred but M.Phil will be considered if exceptional
• Experience in fieldwork and laboratory research
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques

Skills

• Proficiency in computer software such as Excel, SPSS, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good organizational and time management skills
