Project Safety Supervisor

Role Overview

Spark Power Corp USA is seeking an experienced Project Safety Supervisor to support project teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and leading incident and injury investigations with production leadership while assisting during weekly toolbox safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Generate weekly Total Case Incident Reports for large projects and submit them to project leadership and management.
• Provide field‑level HSE leadership through inspections, training, hazard identification, incident prevention, and risk management while supporting compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, local, and client requirements.
• Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, project managers, and operations leadership to promote engagement and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE or safety role, preferably in electrical, construction, renewable energy, industrial, or utility environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Experience with field inspections, hazard assessments, JHAs/SWPs, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and recommend practical controls.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Proficiency with safety management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with third‑party prequalification systems such as ISNetworld or Avetta.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to project and field locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety is an asset.
• BCSP certification plus 3 years of experience.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification required; OSHA 500/510, ASP, CSP, GSP, or CHST certification considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, where required.

Working Conditions

Work schedule is Monday to Friday (10‑hour shifts) with occasional Saturday (8‑hour) shifts. Duties involve standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is performed in both indoor office environments and outdoor construction job sites, with varying environmental conditions. Occasional work at heights and lifting of up to 40 lb may be required.
