About the role
The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives on a Hyperscale Data Center Project in Cedar Rapids, IA.Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation of the project safety plan
- Track and trend project safety performance
- Verify project team adherence to company safety management processes
- Assist project teams with enforcement of safety programs
- Facilitate project safety committees
- Support project teams with applicable regulatory safety compliance
- Perform project industrial hygiene assessments
- Coordinate and communicate site safety activities
- Encourage innovative thinking to increase safety awareness
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred

- Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build positive relationships across the organization
- Ability to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Comfortable speaking in front of a variety of audiences
