Project Safety Manager - Data Center

Reports To: Manager, Project Safety
Location: Port Washington, Wisconsin

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000 to $125,000. This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan. Final determination of starting pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

About the Role

The Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by developing and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Responsibilities include:

• Generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports on large projects and submitting them to project leadership and management.
• Leading incident and injury investigations with support from Production leadership.
• Assisting during weekly toolbox safety meetings.
• Monitoring and auditing Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI)/Subcontractor compliance in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.
• Serving as a co-facilitator of safety trainings and testing for all employees.
• Assisting the Project Leadership Team in the execution of weekly safety meetings.
• Engaging with field personnel to support the development of project-specific plans addressing safety issues and concerns.

Work Environment

• Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
• Work is conducted in both indoor office settings and outdoor construction job site settings; environmental conditions will vary.
• Ability to drive (must be physically able to drive with a valid driver’s license and no driving restrictions).
• Occasional work at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
• The work area of a project site can be expansive, requiring the ability to drive throughout the site (via a buggy, car, truck, etc.).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• CPR/First Aid Certified (Trainer Preferred); other safety certifications desired.
• Must be willing to obtain a BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred).
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency.

You have a strong understanding of electrical industry consensus standards including NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI.
