About the role

As the Project Procurement Manager, you will be performing assigned procurement activities for a proposal(s) or project(s). You may lead others with procurement responsibilities while requiring minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Purchases assigned equipment, construction, and service contracts for projects following established policies and procedures.
  • Affords assistance in project setup of procurement related activities.
  • Executes and manages the procurement process on assigned contracts including bid list preparation, solicitation of quotes, and evaluating, negotiating and awarding of contracts.
  • Leads negotiations for assigned procurements and/or construction contracts.
  • Collaborates to resolve complex claims or other contract issues.
  • Ensures contract documents are issued correctly and on schedule.
  • Affords assistance in the development and monitoring of project budgets and schedules (man-hours, cost, procurement milestone durations).
  • Affords assistance in the establishment and/or monitoring of procurement goals.
  • Maintains oversight of project procurement activities and reports status.
  • Might develop, create and lead presentations to internal and external client and joint venture partners.
  • Might be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a project or projects.
  • Might also lead and coordinate the entire budgetary pricing effort on a project or projects. Files appropriate documents and follows filing rules.
  • Acts in capacity of a "lead person". Does not have management responsibility for the professionals to whom they provide work direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred. Relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Proficient in analytics and creation/interpretation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in budget development and management.
  • Strong communication - both written and oral.
  • Strong computer skills - databases and MS Office.
  • Strong contract comprehension.
  • Strong data entry.
  • Proficient in mathematics.

  • Proficient in process and technical writing.
  • Proficient in project process management.
  • Proficient in schedule and planning understanding.
  • Basic training development.
  • Basic workflow and team management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
