Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project procurement strategies, processes, procedures, and systems.
- Lead procurement execution from package definition through contract and purchase order closeout.
- Develop and manage the Project Procurement Execution Plan (PPEP) aligned with overall project objectives.
- Cook up sourcing, contracting, logistics, packaging, and transportation strategies.
- Monitor procurement performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary procurement teams across multiple locations.
- Serve as the primary procurement contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, and other project functions to ensure alignment and delivery.
- Manage procurement resource planning, onboarding, and workload allocation.
- Provide regular procurement reporting and project updates to leadership and clients.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, corporate governance standards, and ethical business practices.
- Maintain procurement documentation and reporting within project systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and procurement performance reviews.
- Support contract administration, materials management, and procurement activities during site execution when required.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive procurement leadership experience within EPCM, engineering, construction, mining, energy, infrastructure, or industrial project environments.
- Proven experience managing complex procurement programs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle management, contracts, purchasing, and materials management.
- Experience developing and executing sourcing, contracting, and purchasing strategies.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Experience administering construction/service contracts and major equipment or material purchase orders.
- Proficiency with procurement systems, materials management tools, and reporting platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or other relevant tertiary qualification.
- Engineering diploma or technical background.
- Formal training in contract law, commercial management, or negotiation.
- Knowledge of quality, environmental, health and safety regulations, and Incoterms.
- International project experience and exposure to multicultural teams.
