Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm, and gas piping as applicable).
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to complete work accurately.
- Lay out, assemble, and install piping, valves, fixtures, and equipment using proper methods and tools.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to resolve jobsite or system issues.
- Cookordinate with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain schedule.
- Complete testing (pressure/leak tests), support inspections, and ensure code compliance.
- Identify material needs and communicate jobsite requirements to leadership in advance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and any field changes.
- Mentor apprentices/helpers and promote best practices and craftsmanship on the jobsite.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installation standards, and applicable plumbing codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with common pipe materials (copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, steel, PEX) and installation methods.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a quality-first mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred (Nice To Have)
- Journeyman license or equivalent certification.
- OSHA 10/30.
- Backflow certification.
- Medical gas experience.
