About the role

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Planner to support detailed construction scheduling, project coordination, schedule tracking, and progress reporting for semiconductor construction and facility-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules using drawings, specifications, scope documents, baseline schedules, contractor inputs, and project requirements.
  • Build integrated schedules covering multiple project phases, including site preparation, civil work, structural work, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, cleanroom build-out, utility installation, tool installation, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.
  • Establish and maintain work breakdown structures, activity logic, task durations, dependencies, milestones, constraints, and schedule assumptions.
  • Identify critical path activities, near-critical work, long-lead materials, key milestones, schedule constraints, and sequencing requirements.
  • Cover coordination with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and owner representatives to collect schedule inputs and validate construction sequencing.
  • Incorporate engineering changes, scope adjustments, design revisions, claims, delays, recovery plans, and approved project changes into the project schedule.
  • Support the development of baseline schedules, detailed look-ahead schedules, milestone plans, and project-specific reporting tools.
  • Monitor actual construction progress against approved baseline schedules through site walks, contractor updates, daily reports, weekly reports, field observations, and project meetings.
  • Track progress by work area, contractor, trade, discipline, milestone, construction phase, and project scope.
  • Prepare reports identifying completed work, upcoming activities, delayed tasks, constraints, schedule risks, and critical path impacts.
  • Maintain accurate schedule records, progress updates, completion percentages, assumptions, revisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify schedule slippage early and communicate potential impacts, root causes, and corrective-action needs to the project team.
  • Support short-term planning efforts by providing look-ahead schedules and activity forecasts to field and construction teams.
  • Identify potential schedule risks, including material delays, labor shortages, design changes, access restrictions, permitting delays, regulatory approvals, weather impacts, safety concerns, and contractor performance issues.
  • Support schedule recovery planning when delays occur by evaluating acceleration options, resequencing opportunities, mitigation strategies, and resource-adjustment plans.
  • Develop and evaluate what-if schedule scenarios to assess the impact of project changes, delays, scope changes, and recovery efforts.
  • Communicate schedule risks, critical path impacts, and mitigation recommendations clearly to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to maintain alignment on project schedules and milestone commitments.
  • Participate in project meetings, schedule review meetings, contractor coordination meetings, progress-update discussions, and planning sessions.
  • Present schedule status, critical path updates, risk items, milestone forecasts, delays, and recovery recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support communication between field teams, engineering teams, construction teams, project controls personnel, and project leadership.
  • Coordinate with project teams to obtain timely progress updates, validate completion status, and resolve discrepancies in schedule information.
  • Prepare management reports, schedule narratives, executive summaries, progress dashboards, and other project-control documentation as needed.
  • Ensure schedules align with contract requirements, construction sequencing requirements, project standards, safety expectations, quality requirements, and semiconductor site protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of schedule updates, assumptions, revisions, changes, delays, recovery actions, and project impacts.
  • Support lessons learned, schedule-template development, reporting standardization, and improvements to scheduling practices.
  • Contribute to continuous-improvement efforts related to scheduling tools, project controls, progress reporting, coordination workflows, and schedule-risk management.
  • Support the adoption of improved project-control systems, 4D/5D scheduling methods, BIM coordination tools, and reporting processes where applicable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five or more years of experience in construction scheduling, project scheduling, project controls, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting complex construction, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, utility, or high-tech facility projects.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method scheduling, baseline schedule management, progress tracking, variance analysis, schedule forecasting, and recovery planning.
  • Experience using Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Advanced Excel, or similar scheduling and project-controls tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scope documents, schedules, and technical project documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple project schedules, deadlines, milestones, stakeholders, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in an active construction, industrial, or semiconductor project environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting semiconductor fab construction, tool installation, cleanroom construction, or advanced-manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, advanced Excel reporting, or other project-controls systems.

  • Experience supporting 4D or 5D scheduling, BIM coordination, construction sequencing models, or advanced project-control platforms.
  • Experience coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and client representatives.
  • Experience developing recovery schedules, acceleration plans, mitigation strategies, or what-if schedule scenarios.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, change-order impacts, claims support, permitting timelines, and project closeout schedules.
  • PMI Scheduling Professional, AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional, Certified Scheduling Technician, or PMP certification.
  • Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.
